ABOUT THE EVENT
The Organic Cotton Summit brings together the global organic cotton community, from farmers and producers to brands and policymakers, turning ambition into action that works on the ground.
Over two days in Istanbul
Over two days in Istanbul, you will hear voices from across the organic cotton ecosystem and beyond, sharing lived experience, practical insights, and inspiration from the field.
The program is grounded in farmer knowledge, informed by global and regional context, and focused on building organic cotton systems that are resilient, fair, and viable.
Hosted by the Organic Cotton Accelerator and Textile Exchange, the summit gives participants the opportunity to address real-world challenges and explore pathways toward an organic cotton sector that’s both sustainable and scalable.

WHAT TO EXPECT
WHY JOIN US?
W1
Across the globe, cotton farmers are dealing with climate uncertainty, rising costs, and changing expectations from markets and policymakers—often all at once.
Growing cotton organically is a way of working that responds to these realities. It supports healthier soils, reduces reliance on external inputs, and helps build stronger resilience to climate stress. These outcomes matter for farmers’ livelihoods and for the long-term health of land and communities.
At the same time, organic agriculture is a proven solution that aligns with the fashion, textile, and apparel industry’s expectations for preferred production systems, with the potential to meet growing needs for verification, compliance, and traceability.
Farmers from regions across the world are already making the transition. The Organic Cotton Summit creates space to reflect on what has worked, build solutions for the challenges that have arisen, and clarify what is needed from the market side to strengthen and scale organic cotton in ways that are fair, practical, and regionally adapted.

We envision a future where, every time a farmer switches to organic cotton, there is a ripple effect of positivity. Farmers earn more and have access to better working conditions and secure livelihoods. Their land and soils are regenerated, biodiversity thrives, and together we contribute to combating climate change. We call this the Organic Cotton Effect. As an accelerator, we want to get to this future, faster.
